08.01.2009/ Goodbye to singin Santa Claus ...

Taking down the decorations after the festive season brings with it a gloom, no more excitement, infact the whole house seems to take it on! But on a positive note .... no more singing Santa Claus! So now we need to put up more decorations, this time Mother Natures!!! Bring the outside in with twigs, leaves, branches, Trees! go wild!!! At this time there are heathers in flower which bring lovely colours. With a little imagination you can have great fun, its not something you can go wrong with. Light up the room with the gentle glow of candles, light the fire and settle down in front of it with some hot buttered toast!! For colours think strong rich shades ... cinnamon orange, saffron yellow and opulent magenta. For fabrics think wools, velvets and heavily woven cotton linen unions. Maybe even think about getting some loose covers made for your armchair in some beautiful florals printed on "Slubby Linens"!!
